In a short time, the Cambie Report has become a go to source for information about the politics in Vancouver as we approach the municipal election on October 20th. Who are we? Three very policy oriented followers of politics that are just interested in helping people understand what's going on.

Help us create one of the primary sources for the Vancouver election and beyond. As a Patron you'll be helping fund new gear, live shows, hosting, promotions and coverage across Metro Vancouver.

With the announcement that Gregor Robertson and many Vision councillors will not be seeking reelection, Vancouver's 2018 municipal election is shaping up to be one of the most dramatic in recent memory. Ian, Patrick and Matthew came together to launch a new podcast to cover this election.

Cambie Report was launched in March 2018 and since then we've been overwhelmed with the response. Roughly every week (and sometimes more) we've been keeping up with the drama as parties line up candidates and policies. We've also been honoured to have a number of guests in our first few shows, including journalists Frances Bula and Jen St. Denis and housing activists Stephanie Allen and Jennifer Bradshaw.

Your support has already helped us host several successful live shows and we look forward to continuing to build the show through the election (and beyond?). As our Patreon grows we'll aim to increase our coverage, improve our gear, host more shows and start to source merchandise. Those perks will become available as we reach our goals. If you have other ideas for goals (or want to make a one-time contribution), let us know at [email protected]

Note: Patreon charges in USD (not CAD).

Editorial note: In order to protect the best journalistic interests of our show, Cambie Report retains full authority over our editorial content. Acceptance of financial support does not constitute implied or actual endorsement of a supporter or their opinion. Elected officials and candidates for municipal office are welcome to subscribe on Patreon to support the production of our content (and we thank those who have); however, we will disclose these conflicts when covering these candidates.

Guaranteed weekly podcasts
When we started our goal was to run biweekly until the fall and weekly during the final lead-up to the election, after which we'd likely wrap up the show. But you've shown us you're with us for the long haul and there's always more to talk about in the municipal scene. We'll keep going on a weekly kick long with more guests, more topics and more local political gossip.
