I make comics about the classic video games we grew up playing. Support me and I'll make more of them, more often!

Who Am I?

Hello! My name is Cameron Davis, and I’ve been making the retrogaming comic Blow The Cartridge for over three years. Pleased to meet you! Before I got into making comics I helped make video games such as Spyro, Viva Pinata and TY The Tasmanian Tiger. And before that I worked as a video game journalist for places such as GameSpot, Official Xbox Magazine, and more! Yikes I’m pretty obsessed with video games and telling people how awesome they are. This is why I make Blow The Cartridge!

What is Blow The Cartridge?

Blow The Cartridge is a retro gaming webcomic that has been on the internet since 2011. The premise is simple: you name an old video game, and I'll make a comic about it! Every week I upload a new comic based on a classic old game everyone voted for.



People seem to like it. Blow The Cartridge comics have run in places like Game Informer, Kotaku and Joystiq.

I really enjoy making it. And, with your help, I can make many more comics every week! This is where Patreon comes in.

What is Patreon?

Patreon is a new and quite cool service that allows you to support the artists you like in a very real way. By donating a small amount every month you directly offset the costs of living, ensure I don't need to do more freelance work and let me concentrate on the art and craft of making comics you enjoy.

See, I’ll use this money to buy me time, and I do this weird thing where I convert time into comics. So the more you support this Patreon campaign, the more comics I can make every week and the quicker I can release new comic issues and book collections! Everyone wins!

I’ll also be using these funds to pay for website server and maintenance costs, printing bills and hopefully nice things like drawing classes, convention appearances in your town and new tools so my art can get better.
