For over eight years, in downtown Canton, people have been coming to serve and be served delicious, nutritious meals. The current location is the lower level of Crossroads United Methodist Church. In the past four years, attendance to the picnic has ramped up, and it has brought more attention. But we can't do it alone.

Any donations to our cause will go directly to the serving of people downtown. We would purchase less-commonly-donated food items, kitchen equipment and plasticware. Monetary donations don't make a community, but they ease the burden on the dedicated volunteers.

No one ever has to pray or participate in a worship service to receive food from the Canton Sunday Picnic. We serve as many as 450 people, depending on the weather and time of the month. Our volunteers often take food that would be wasted in various points of food production and prepare it in a tasty, nutritious fashion to serve to people who may otherwise go hungry.

You are also always welcome at Market Square park Canton Every Sunday at 1pm to eat and/or serve food and see where your donations go and the smiles they put on people's faces.
