"the inconsolable longing in the human heart for we know not what"; a yearning for a far, familiar, non-earthly land one can identify as one's home

Hi!  I'm Cara and I'm all about creating art that moves you.  In a way, I'm old-fashioned: I'm searching for beauty, mystery, and magic.  On the other hand, I work like a futuristic mad scientist making materials do what they have never done before.

I make art that isn't easy to sell.  A room-sized installation that engages every sense using projected light, smell, and interactive objects doesn't really "match the sofa," if you know what I mean.  The materials I use, like synthetic ballistic gelatin, cost me a great deal of money, as does paying for a studio.  The art is worth it, but sometimes plans go on the backburner for years and the process is slow because I don't have the resources.

Here's where you can help.  Even the tiniest donations add up when they come from enough people or if they happen regularly.  You can be a direct part of making this work exist and grow.  If you think what I create is exciting enough to chip in, you could literally make a dream come true.

With love and gratitude,

Cara
