Longer comics!
Most of the comic ideas I've got right now though are about 20-30 pages long. If I meet this goal, I'll be able to finish these and debut them here via PDF, and let you guys vote on which ones I work on first.
Online shop!
One of the reasons I don't usually offer things for sale online is, without a car, it's just really hard for me to haul stuff to the post office regularly, or get supplies I need to do so. I dare you to try driving a scooter with large shipping boxes and envelopes strapped to your back. Besides that, with a regular day job and multiple freelance projects, it's hard to find the time. This will help with the car payments I'll (hopefully!) be making soon, or else help me hire an intern to give me a hand once a week.
REGULARLY UPDATED COMICS
Man, just imagine, I could afford to work on comic pages along with freelance stuff full time. If this happened I'd be able to finally start one of the webcomics I've been dying to do. Everyone here will be able to vote on what story I do, and possibly help make plot decisions along the way!
A CINTIQ to make pretty pictures
I'm honestly pretty good on equipment that I need right now, though the wire on my WACOM 3 is getting distressingly frayed and I know I'll have to replace it sooner rather than later. A CINTIQ would be a dream, TBH.
About
Cara is a graduate of SCAD's Sequential Art program. She was already working on projects for publishers such as Onipress by the time she graduated, and in the time since, has continued to self publish a number of mini comics and art books. Her art has gone viral a number of times, with most of her online popularity stemming from her creations of Fandom inspired tea blends through Adagio.com. She's now doing about 2 or 3 cons a month throughout the year, while trying to keep creating new, original comics and art, and is terrified of quitting her desk job, though the desire to go freelance full time is strong.

By the time I was in my Junior year at SCAD, I was already working on graphic novel projects for some really cool companies. Unfortunately, the big book project I was working on fell through shortly after I graduated, and those pages never saw the light of day, sadly. It happens, that's just the industry. At the time though, it was a huge bummer, and I sort of... fell headfirst into fandom again, devoting all of my creativity to drawing fanart and creating fanworks. This eventually gained me a larger following than ever, and ultimately paid off when I started creating Fandom Inspired tea blends through Adagio.com. The popularity of this idea went viral and sparked a huge, new trend in fandom creations. Since then I've been lucky enough to travel all over the country, attending cons as an artist and occasionally throwing huge, nerdy tea parties for fans.
So while obviously fandom has been incredible for me, I'm itching to go back to creating original content again. Already this year I've been able to pencil out 3 short, 12-25 page original comics, with one already finished and printed. I'd love love LOVE to be able to finish a new short comic at least every other month this year, as a challenge to myself. However, still having to hold down a day job while also prepping to table at 2 or 3 cons a month is keeping me from creating at any sort of decent pace. I want to believe that I'm in a good place in my artistic career that I can probably take the plunge and go full time freelance to work on comic pages, but I need all the support I can get. I want to make the comics I create available online for free eventually, but I also want to be able to create and sell hard copies of them available at cons, or, if I can find the time/resources, available to order from an online shop. Without my day job, I'd also have more time to create more fandom tea blends and possibly throw more tea parties in new cities, since I know some of you are also interested in that ;) (That may eventually just have to be a separate patreon project though, this one is pretty much just so I can focus on comics and art).
Thank you SO Much for all of your support and consideration!
