Upgrades to Comrputer and software
Simply put, it costs me $50 to make each of these videos, at the current
quality for you. That's extremely low, for editing, mixing, and
mastering costs. STILL, that's $200 a month I pay out of pocket. Once we
meet this milestone, at least making the content won't make me lose
money.
To manage the demands of the Virtual Band(the complete band videos, not me just solo), in a manner that will allow us to produce content weekly, we will need better software and a few hardware upgrades to make things move efficiently.
Better Quality Video Software, fx software, A Faster CPU to speed up rendering time(right now it takes about 16 hours to render a 5 minute video of just me haha), a dedicated hard drive and more things just for the project

New Cameras, Set Pieces, and Lights
So when my budget is able to afford it I'd like to upgrade cameras. I currently have 1 high quality and 1 low quality cam that allow me to give you two angles of footage. I would buy another high quality cam that would also be able to be mounted to many surfaces. I would use that to get some pretty unique visuals and angles for the videos. It would also allow me to make some crazy fx for later using this extra perspective. I'd also buy a few more figurines and shelves, and lights. To make this look a bit more professional. I like the fact that this is something that everyone is able to do from the comfort of their bedroom, but I still want it to look like a quality product.
HIRE paid interns and PAY all performers and Participants
After just 2 months at this goal mark, ALL necessary production upgrades will be acquired. From there I would like to take a month to hire 2-4 interns to help with this project. One for Social media and promotion, one for editing, one for filming(though hypothetically this could be the same person haha), and one for assistance in ARRANGING...While I currently do all these things myself, I am really not a genius at any of these, and with the RIGHT HELP I'm sure we'd be able to excel better in these areas. Furthermore, more people working allows me to focus my energies more into the playing. I would then also like to use the funds accrued to extend pay to the performers who participate in the project. It's been a longstanding goal of this project to not only give the performers and participants exposure, but to also give them monetary compensation for their efforts. With this goal met, I can pay each performer per work, and hopefully as we progress maybe be able to even hire big name performers to participate in videos as well. :-D

Hello everyone, thank you for visiting my Patreon page.
I'm Carl Catron, and I am making music videos and saxophone covers/remixes (See the above video for a sample of my work). My intention is to expand this project into something beneficial for musicians and audiences around the globe.
What am I creating in this project? I am making my own arrangements, and blending different styles together to make something new. I am also working on collaborations with creators in comedy, videogames, and anime. :-D...
Why am I doing any of this? I have a dream that I would love to see fulfilled, and thanks to the internet(specifically youtube & patreon), it may be possible. Year after year, fewer people play horns, in favor of electronic instruments. I hope that my playing will inspire others, as I was inspired before. With the tools we have in this age,I can inspire people to play music and pursue their dreams and also create something that benefits and aids those that do. That is my goal for this project.
Why do I need your support? Your support will have a direct impact on the quality of my videos. I put 12-60 hours of work into arranging & sequencing music, arranging & recording sax, recording & editing videos for each cover. Your support would allow me to take fan requests, release videos weekly, and continue to improve quality. To pull off the Virtual Band, LOTS more time will have to be put into editing, as I will have several videos at any one time, that have to be merged as one(so far I have put 17 videos into one music video before). These costs can't be met without capital. I currently have a producer to work on post-production of audio and that's it. I am the video director, conductor, composer, arranger, set designer, editor, promoter, and artist. To have this run smoothly and beautifully I will need to assemble a whole team, of no less than 4 others. I want to be able to pay them well for their work and commitment to the project. With your help I'll be able to expand the staff slightly to reduce my responsibilities, and which will allow me to focus more on just playing, giving you an even better product.
