The Daily Music Break is a two-and-a-half year old site that loves all genres of music -- but doesn't love the artificial boundaries that technology has built between them.

The Daily Music Break crosses all genres — old and new, rock and opera, reggae and pop, blues and classical, jazz and new age, historical and hip-hop, show tunes and country, TV themes and folk. You get the idea.

It's all music. It's all good. It really is.

We provide context and commentary through posts with video embeds, audio playlists and podcast interviews.

A growing feature of the site is the audio podcasting. We've spoken to David Bromberg, Jon Herington (Steely Dan), Andy Stein (Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen), jazz guitarist Matt Panayides and authors who've written about Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, George and Ira Gershwin, Louis Armstrong and John Fahey. More are in the pipeline.

We aim to add podcasts with up-and-coming bands and performers to the mix.

Our Patreon goal is to improve the site, raise our online presence, upgrade the audio podcasting and, eventually, add video to the podcasts. Thanks for reading, and please check out The Daily Music Break.

We'll double-down on the podcast, adding an additional two episodes per month. What does this mean? More musicians and music experts.
