Milestone Goals
The basics
Utilities and groceries. After years of actual poverty and evictions and flood and theft and ruin, this would allow us to conduct business and art rationally and productively for the first time ever, really.
The rent
The rent, in addition to paying for the utilities. The deal when I moved in was that I would pay for the utilities, and until now I've failed. So it's time for me to take over the rent as well.
New equipment
Everything we've got is second-hand or on the fritz. My monitor was supposed to be dead, but miraculously came back to life when I didn't have anything else. All hail zombie monitor! But I never know when it might die again. I could also use a good digital camera for reference. There's no end to the things we can't afford!
Arbitrary goal
There's a lot more I want to do; farm out coloring, write a series for another artist, create a virtual tour of a medieval elf forest. But it's too soon to say. We will update these goals as we move ahead!
About
The drawerer and writerater of alternate-world thingies that suffer from floating speech balloonism. These bizarre creatures frequently trade baffling dialogue, then whomp each other with a dazzling array of weaponry.

This is my story, and I'm sticking to it. Patreon gives me the opportunity to tell it to you.
Elf Life at elfhero.com is a combination fairy tale action/adventure and slice of life comedy set in the human world, when elves were temporarily displaced from their own homeland.
The series stumbled to an ungraceful halt many years ago due to an inability to keep ahead of basic cartooning expenses, let alone utilities and rent, culminating in an actual eviction--embarrassingly, the second time in the course of drawing the comic.
No more. We are raising the funds to do this the right way.
The comic is now 100% digital, so funds for old school art supplies are no longer the biggest problem. However, there are always production costs, keeping up with basic bills, and upgrading equipment that is getting old or already dead. Along with the switch to digital, we are now working more efficiently, penciling a larger batch of comics ahead of inking. We used to always do things in a panic.

The list of incentives is short for the moment, because I am too short on resources to offer much. As we grow, we'll come up with more creative incentives.
The first goal is to simply get the comics running, again. They are going to be more sensibly arranged as self-contained stories than in the past. This should lend itself to publishing the comics in other formats, such as Amazon Kindle.
I hope to later expand to stories beyond Elf Life, projects that I know you'll like, but have been on hold for too long. Those will be new goals announced later, when we're in a better position to look at the future.
