Milestone Goals
Live Streams
$500 per cartoon
At this milestone I will do a live stream at least once every month, broadcasting the production of my cartoons, as well as opening the possibility for additional livestreams (tutorials maybe? playing games? we'll see). These livestreams will likely be for backers only!
Full-Time?
$1,000 per cartoon
At two updates a month, this rate will make it possible to keep the channel as my primary job. There is no reward for reaching this level, but reaching this level (or perhaps somewhere past this level) would mean I wouldn't have to stop at some point in the future to dedicate time to a better-paying opportunity. Since payments only go out at the end of each month, as it stands right now, I will have to take on supplementary work or alternate primary work from time to time to afford to live.

Since 2010, I've been producing fully-independent animated series for my Youtube channel, Cartoon Drive-Thru. Some people may know me from animation dating even further back. I'm currently working on two principal series: Deadly Space Action, a sci-fi comedy about an over-ambitious evil space captain and his misbehaving, sardonic crew, and The Puzzle Hunters, an action comedy about puzzle-loving detectives solving mysteries (and more puzzles).

I've made 22 3-5 minute Deadly Space Action cartoons, multiple 5-15 minute pilots, one-off shorts, and podcasts. I produced over 60 minutes of animation in 2013 alone. And I've done it just about entirely on my own, from writing to thumbnails to animation to backgrounds and even the voice acting. It's fun work, but it is a financial sinkhole. It generates no income for me, and takes time away from paying jobs. I've made lots of sacrifices to afford myself the time to create these cartoons, which is a time-consuming, exhausting task.

Continuing the channel the way that I worked in 2013 will only destroy my body from the inside out, so this Patreon's goal is not necessarily to make the channel my full-time job, but to show your support/appreciation and to give me incentive to make silly cartoons for the internet (at a rate that won't burn me out!). Perhaps at a certain point I can even use the money to bring on other artists and actors to help make the cartoons faster (and better!).

The cartoons will continue to be free on Youtube, and you can watch them until you start involuntarily mouthing all the words. This is a purely optional donation option and I'm happy with any support you give. I hope that with Patreon I can provide early sneak peeks, and a look at some of the backstage fun (like the Flash Out series), exclusively to backers. But new cartoons will always be make their way to the Youtube channel (as well as Newgrounds on occasion) and won't be held for ransom.

Thanks for your support!
