Welcome! My name is Joe Catapano. I am a comic book artist. I've also worked in the video game industry as a concept artist and storyboard artist. If you haven’t seen any of my work before, this is a great place to start, because this is my absolute favorite project. It’s a comic called STAR CIRCUIT and I’ve been developing it for about a year. The best way to describe it is that it's a sci-fi racing tale that is not always what you expect. Its kinda like if the Nintendo game series, F-Zero, and manga series, Akira, had a child that was obsessed with augmented reality.

Star Circuit is the cyberpunk dream come true. It’s a fully delineated world that’s been changed by the long elaborated Man vs Machine trope. While it does have all the markers of the genre like alternate realities, bizarre technologies, high-tech motorcycles, and cyborg augmentation, it’s also attempting to reveal something very personal about relationships. Some of these scenarios are things like reuniting with crazy ex-girlfriends, struggling to fix failing friendships and desperately trying to keep your family together even though you are one of the main contributors of its dysfunction.

So, that brings me to this Patreon proposal thing.

Here's my plan (updated):
So far I've finished all the designs and at least a portion of the first chapter, but there is much to do before its release.  Right now, the goal is to start releasing pages in May coinciding with my local appearance at MegaCon Orlando.

Sooo.. In the meantime:
I am going to release all of my process work; everything. All my designs, all my sketches, all my comic layouts, all my struggles, all my successes, all my tears; everything.  And I'm only going to be posting all of this exclusively on Patreon. I still will be posting the cornerstone designs on the Dev Blog on starcircuitcomic.com but only my patrons will get this rare look into the full process.

Here' all the ways you can help:
-Become a patron and give me tiny donation per month (as little as a dollar).
-Sign up for email notifications on starcircuitcomic.com.
-Give me feedback on my art through the comments on my social sites or by joining the members only Pit Crew.
-Get involved by sharing this page and starcircuitcomic.com around on social media.
-Tell your friends (locally).
-Subscribe to my youtube tutorial channel or Instagram feed.
-Send me thoughtful motivational comments on starcircuitcomic.com.

I want Star Circuit to be a long and wondrous journey, and I want you to be a part of it. Feedback on my progress is very important to me and I think it will make the story that much better.

Please, if you are interested, take a moment and help this comic take shape.
