"What am I doing here, what is the point of these smiles and gestures? My home is neither here nor elsewhere. And the world has become merely unknown landscape where my heart can lean on nothing. Foreign – who can know what this word means?"
Albert Camus, from Notebooks, 1935-1942

C.C. O’Hanlon
has been, among other things, a musician, seaman, smuggler, gambler, photographer, magazine editor, film-maker, web entrepreneur, and government adviser. Now, in his 60s, he has turned an unstructured, unsettled life into a kind of performance art.

C.C. describes himself as "a traveller, an outsider". Eschewing a fixed home, he is always "between places". Wherever he is, he records his observations and encounters in words, images and sound. The result is emphatically not a travelogue but rather a diary and an archive, from which emerge thought-provoking takes on people, places, experiences, and ideas. Over the past year, he has lived in Berlin, Brighton, England, Essaouira, southern Morocco, and Rome.

Support through Patreon will enable C.C. to create works in various media that will be (he insists) the last of himself.
