Hi! My name is Cedric Babouche

I’m a director and art director in the animation industry, comic book artist, illustrator, art teacher and since April 2018, I run my own little boutique named UN JE NE SAIS QUOI, where I develop and produce video games, animated short films and many more projects.

Here are some of them:

PAPER AND WATERCOLOR ARE AT THE CENTER OF MY WORLD.
I can’t develop a project, think of a story or go outside without my brushes and sketchbooks.
After many years in the animation industry I still prefer to work on paper rather than digitally. Don’t get me wrong, I love using photoshop, Blender, Zbrush and all the amazing softwares a modern artist uses to achieve their goals but, for me, it can’t replace the feeling of a brush sliding on wet paper.

WHY PATREON?
  • How do I work when I’m developing an animated project for TV or Cinema?
  • What are my steps when I do plein air sketches?
  • How do I mix my watercolor with 3D?
  • What materials do I use?
For several years now, people have been asking me to set up workshops where I share my experience on both a professional and personal level and these are some of the questions I get a lot.

I would love to share some of my answers and methods with you.

I had to think of a way to share what I do and at the same time work on my personal and professional projects. The solution I found is a mix of different approaches which lets me work on my projects at the same time as I teach.
This means, that one day I could be painting outside, and another I could be working on my video game project (Mr Tic Toc & the Endless City.) or on my short film (The Ricochets.)
It’s a win win!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
By supporting me on Patreon, you will get access to behind the scenes videos, plein air paintings in progress and tips on watercolor and mixed techniques such as camera mapping. You’ll get a front row seat during this adventure, and be part of the dialogue about my process.
On a final note, I will offer private or group mentorship on Hangout every month, for the ones who have questions, need help or feedback on their work.

Join me on this new adventure, I look forward to sharing my approach and creativity with you!
