About Chama

Hallo! My name is Chama, and I'm creating a graphic novel "The Sun Prince, the Saint and the Changeling." It's a m/m romance that takes place in Renaissance Italy.

Tomas, a young man from Siena, just wants to have a nice, simple summer romance. But he comes from a noble family that has ties to the Holy Roman Empire, so what he gets is anything but simple. In fact, the summer doesn't go according to anyone's expectations.

Love, mystery & close-kept secrets of the past and the future — in the heart of Renaissance Italy.

Please join me on this creative journey!

Who is Chama?

I'm an artist who has worked as a designer, an illustrator, and as a storyboard artist in the animation industry.

I've always been fascinated by the great mysteries of life — relationships, the nature of self, and our eternal quest for love — and so I want to explore these themes in my work. The Sun Prince is meant to be a dramatic, sexy, and ultimately an uplifting story.

Who are the Patrons?

The arts have always had the power to shape our society. But historically, that power has been limited to people with great financial means — kings, popes, and families of generational wealth. Their patronage has given us a heritage of artistic masterpieces, but their views and values influenced and limited the individual expression of the artists. They controlled the cultural narrative. In other words, artists could only be successful if they stuck to mainstream.

Well, not anymore!

We're lucky to live in a time where the few can no longer speak for the many. Everyone has a voice, and anyone with a couple of bucks can shape the culture of our society. Sounds grandiose, doesn't it? But that's how all great change happens — in small increments.

You now have direct influence over the kinds of stories that make it into the world. And because of you, I don't have to build a career doing countless paintings of, let's say, Mary and baby Jesus. Instead, I can tell you a story about a charming gay romance. ^_^

If that sounds pretty good, if you dig what I'm doing here, if you're picking up what I'm puttin' down — consider becoming a Patron of the Arts!
