Chirault
is a fantasy webcomic, started in mid-2007 and currently updating two
pages every week (on Monday and Friday), with bonus extras appearing on
some Wednesdays. It's been a substantial part of my life since it began; over the course of its (currently) 800+ pages it's sprawled through at least ten separate sketchbooks, and will probably consume several more over the next few years as it draws nearer to its conclusion.
The story follows Teeko, a young girl who is inadvertently shrunk by a wayward magic spell while lost in the woods. Luckily (or perhaps unluckily), a passing demon hunter named Kiran offers his help in getting her to find a mage who can turn her back. It does not prove to be an easy journey, however; aside from the various threats that turn up in their path, Kiran’s past begins to catch up to him, and his powers as a demon himself turn out not be as under control as he had hoped…
Money raised here will go towards buying me new sketchbooks, pens, and other fun art-related implements (I have some lofty dreams about getting a Cintiq monitor one day...), as well as paying the hosting costs of my website. Anything on top of that will go towards expanding my plans for the future of the comic: getting it printed up in book form, promoting it online and at conventions, and creating more fun artwork and maybe some more merchandise or side stories.
The comic itself will always be free! But if you would like to help support me as I work on it, or if you just want to get sneak peeks at the pages before they go up, see new promotional art, or receive prints or pins or keychains in the mail, you are awesome and I love you.
