I'm a Ph.D. student at Carnegie Mellon University studying how to make better programming languages and tools for game design. I place a lot of importance on communication of academic ideas in ways that are accessible to non-academics, and I try to make my research process as open and transparent as possible. I'm using Patreon to support that communication.

I have a research blog at that I'll use as my primary platform for this purpose -- though on occasion, I may count sketchnotes of papers or conference talks toward this purpose as well. And finally, when it comes time to write my dissertation, I plan to update Patreon with every chapter (perhaps bracketed by a blog post with a high-level summary of the chapter).

All of this should amount to approximately one post per month, so if you were pledging to me monthly before, you shouldn't need to adjust much -- of course, this is up to your personal discretion.

Thank you so much for your support!
