Creating videos for YouTube is really enjoyable for me. It's the one thing that I've stuck with every day of my life for the past two years. It's been an exciting ride so far and I feel that something like Patreon could help me with the next step.
YouTube revenue is based on people, like you, viewing ads. There are all types of variables involved (pre-roll ads, mid-roll ads, adblock, different devices, etc). This creates a lack of stability and reliability in terms of revenue. Sometimes ads pay more, sometimes less. You never know.
Based on a lot of feedback and requests, I've setup this Patreon page for people who feel like supporting me this way. If you'd like to setup a small contribution each month, I'd be forever thankful. Please, and I do mean this, do this only if you have the capacity to do so. The support that you guys give me just by watching videos is outstanding, and if you can't afford to contribute, you have my sincere thanks anyways.
The content I create for YouTube is, and always will be free. Patreon is certainly not a requirement to watch my videos. It's just a platform to give donations if you so choose.
As this adventure develops, I would certainly be open to different ideas about how to utilize the patreon platform in unique and creative ways.
