Hi! Possibly you're here because you enjoy my books. Yay! Let's bring wonderful things to the world!

Wait, hold on, let me explain what 'here' is.

Patreon is an alternative crowdfunding method, sort of like Kickstarter but functioning as an ongoing way to support creators you consistently enjoy. If I was making music, you could pledge per song. If I was writing webcomics, you could pledge per month. What I do is closer to webcomics than songs, so I'm going to try out the 'per month' setup.  Starting later this year I'm hoping to provide tastes or even serial chapters of one or more projects.

OK, and now you're wondering... why? Well, so far I've been using Kickstarter to crowdfund books. My publisher used it to gauge interest and handle preorders, and I've used it to do those things as well as actually fund book production. But for various reasons, I'd love to be able to use Patreon to do all that instead of Kickstarter.  Even a small steady income would allow me to manage production values reliably, and it'd be fun to have a way to interact with readers that would provide motivation come up with more ways to entertain.

(I'm really strongly deadline-driven, have I mentioned that? Self-publishing can take away a lot of that pressure, alas.)

But perhaps you're new. Perhaps you'd like to know what this is all about, more than just "she writes books." Well. Basically, I write technical fantasy about strong characters grappling with a rapidly changing world.

(Yeah, thinking about it... that pretty much covers almost everything I do, from the Senyaza books to the Firstborn and Nightlights stories.)

If you like fallen angels, you've come to the right place. If you've always wanted to see more women as epic heroes, welcome. Curious about presenting neurodiverse or non-stereotyped mostly-competent mentally ill characters in a fantasy setting? I'm here for you. Read and enjoy.

Here's my web page.
Here's my Amazon Author page.
And Goodreads...
And a sample of my latest novel.

I expect to be formally releasing 2-3 long pieces of fiction a year-- novels, novellas, collections of short stories, maybe even an interactive novel someday. Your support will help make that possible, and you'll get releases early (or even as they're written) as well as other creative stuff.

Here is what I expect to be working on over the next few years.

The rest of the books in the Thrones of the Firstborn series.
Additional Senyaza stories and novels.
A sequel to my anime-inspired novel Nightlights.
A new, Weird Fantasy project called Astromantica  about war and love in the place where stars go on vacation. Think Rainbow Brite or My Little Pony, but with more grown-ups.
Some kind of paranormal romance interactive fiction.

Both the next Senyaza novel (Divinity Circuit) and the next Firstborn novel (Green Wild) will be available in a chapter-by-chapter format exclusively to supporters long before official release.
