Hi, CJ Hopkins here. In addition to writing award-winning stage plays and the occasional dystopian sci-fi novel, I also write political satire and more serious commentary, mostly focusing on global capitalism, propaganda, and the corporate media. My essays regularly appear in CounterPunch, ColdType, The Unz Review, Black Agenda Report, and other such journals.

If you've read any of my essays, then you know that no mainstream publication is going to pay me to write what I write about or to write about it the way I do. So I've been trying to join the 21st Century and make use of all this new technology to fund my political satire and commentary. I launched a blog, The Consent Factory, Inc., and I've been harassing assorted people on Twitter, and now I'm doing this Patreon thing.

The way it works is, you sign up to send me a monthly contribution (whatever you can afford, as little as $1 a month), and I keep doing what I'm already doing, except that you'll be paying me to do it.

Your contribution will help me continue to mock the powerful, parody the pompous, and subject to scrutiny the corporate propaganda we're being barraged with on a daily basis, and you'll automatically become an official "publisher" of The Consent Factory Blog.

If you've been enjoying my essays, please contribute what you can. If you're unfamiliar with them, and you just ended up on my Patreon page by accident somehow, well, have a look below. Most of them are there.

Thank you in advance for your generous support, and all best wishes from sunny Berlin ...

Patrons are essentially paying my salary as a political satirist and commentator, and will be acknowledged as such on the Consent Factory's blog and in my future books, regardless of donation amount, from $1 per month to ... the sky's the limit.
Goals
$113 of $10,000 per month
$10,000/month will just about cover my basic expenses as a professional political satirist, although I can probably make do with a little less than that.
