Meeting this goal will allow me to indulge regularly in my hobby of collecting single issues and trade paperbacks at my local comics shop without having to offset the costs by eating ramen.

This would cover all the above, PLUS paying for my own health insurance and social security* - a massive hurdle when going full-time freelance!

*In Germany, this is otherwise covered by being on salary.
