What is Marosia?
Marosia is free-to-play a mobile-responsive text-based fantasy roleplaying game run from the browser (PBBG). The game is designed to give the player the freedom to play any role imaginable in a persistent world. Marosia has built-in gameplay mechanics which support playing roles centered around politics, business within the in-game economy, religion, family, wealth, thievery, combat, magic, and more. A text-based environment gives the player the ability to fully express themselves, but fully fleshed-out mechanics makes it a far cry from predecessors like forum-based roleplaying games. Marosia is also slower-paced than its distant relative, the MUD; actions are not required to take place in real time, with everyone online at once. When you log off, your character will continue to work without you, and other characters (all played by real people) will go on living their own lives. It can be thought of as a collaborative story where you write the perspective of a character you play, and where that character can have a direct impact on the world around it.

Who made it?
This game is being developed and maintained solely by Clarion Games, an independent game studio run by software developer "Nyx".

Where can I find out more?
If this is the first you have heard of this game and you would like to know more, you can visit the websiteread the wiki, or join the discussion about this free title.

Why do you need the money?
Developing, maintaining, and supporting an online multiplayer game costs money. Supporting this project enables Marosia to pay its monthly server costs, and enables its developer to dedicate time to expanding the content. After the game is able to sustain itself, funds will go toward polishing the game with professional art, creating community management team, and giving back to the player community through special events like contests with prizes.

Will the developer continue to develop the game?
The goal of this Patreon is to allow the game to sustain itself so that no one ever has to worry about hard times causing the game to go down, but it's also a very sentimental project which is held dear to the heart of its developer. As long as the game has enough support from its players, that support will be returned with expanded content to the game in whatever direction the community wants to see it go.

How often would I be charged?
Becoming a patron will charge you monthly for the amount you decide to donate.

Thank You
I would like to thank every player who decides that my game is fun and engaging enough that they want to put forth their hard-earned money in order to see its continued success. It's a truly humbling experience as an aspiring game designer to see others enjoy participating in the development process and the handcrafted experience I am trying to create for them. I am extremely proud of the community that is built around this game, and I am touched that others see potential for fun in my little creation. Thank you so very much for supporting this passion project of mine, and placing your confidence in me. It truly means a lot.
