Three things will happen on this page: art, writing, and reading. Paid posts will be either paintings or short excerpts of works-in-progress, and will be limited to 1-4 per month.
As a cash-strapped creator and a $1 patron of several others, I make all my patron-only posts available to patrons at all levels, because I believe we’ve got to share the love as much as we’re able. I couldn’t do any of this without my lovely patrons, Y’ALL ARE THE BEST.
The 100 Faces Project
For years, I’ve wanted to get better at painting—and not spent enough time practicing to actually, you know, get better. So I’m embarking on a project I’m calling 100 Faces, which is exactly what it sounds like. As a patron, you:
- Will get to see each and every painting. The good ones will probably be shared to the public later on. The bad ones...those are just for you. You're welcome.
- Will also get to see time-lapses, because those are cool
- If you’re a writerly person, any level of patronage means you can ask me to paint your Original Characters as part of the project! *waggles eyebrows*
- Patrons can also volunteer their own faces for the project. If you want. I need a lot of faces.
I may also do quarterly swag things, like prints of the best (x) paintings from that quarter; those will be available for free to higher-tier patrons (depending on how much it costs to produce) and ALL patrons will get discounts on ordering that kind of merchandise. If I paint your OC or your face, you’ll definitely get a high-resolution image of the painting.
Author-y Updates, Sneak Peeks, and First Dibs
Writing and publishing is my primary job, and it’s hella slow. BUT patrons will still be the first to hear about all my news (deals, release dates); get sneak peeks at covers and manuscripts, and first dibs on digital galleys of upcoming releases, and free and/or discounted copies of finished books and book-related merch. I’ll also probably do posts and/or vlogs about the research I’m doing for my manuscripts.
At least once a month, I try to read a book by a fellow marginalized author, and I review it here. Recommendations from patrons welcome. If I can swing it, I’ll also try to get the author here for a little interview or chat.
