About Nicole M Young

Invest in yourself and your well-being by signing up for an asynchronous journaling experience today!

This year-long workshop series will provide participants a toolkit to begin an intentional practice self-reflexive journal writing. Facilitated by Nicole M. Young, workshop participants will be provided monthly writing prompts, journaling tips and advice on how to incorporate journaling into a weekly or daily practice, and will also receive a complimentary journal designed by Nicole. Those who sign up will have the option of joining a journaling cohort which will meet quarterly to check in on journaling goals and progress.

PLEASE NOTE: enrolling in this asynchronous workshop series DOES NOT substitute therapy, seeing a therapist or mental health professional. It is advised that people who enroll in this workshop have a means of seeking support on issues that would be discussed with a therapist, counselor or other licensed professional.

Nicole M. Young is a performance poet, playwright, pop culture critic, event producer, educator and nonprofit manager originally from Detroit and now based in New England. Autobiographical in nature, Nicole’s works seeks to fill the spaces for women of color whose fair representations are absent in mainstream media and uplift those of marginalized communities. She is regularly hired to facilitate writing workshops that explore self-reflection and realizing your full potential.  Nicole is the editor of the recently released chapbook anthology, Locating Me, which features poetry about identity and self-exploration written by BIPOC writers based in the Northeast. Her award-winning play, get (t)his!, has been produced in Michigan, New York City and Western Massachusetts. Nicole’s self-produced spoken word album, In/Put: Live from the Valley, was released in 2019.  www.nicolemyoung.com
