Q&A

Q: What does the Patreon money go towards?
A: There are a lot of costs associated with our show behind the scenes. Your Patronage will help pay for our team of editors, VFX artists, writers, and more who bring our episodes and gameplay to life. The money will also help us invest in more equipment to film higher production content such as our Game Knights series and Extra Turns. We also have monthly server fees, app developer fees, and web hosting. Note: the Patreon money does not, and will never, go towards 'luxury' purchases for anyone, specifically in the form of Magic cards and product.

Q: How do I get my stickers and posters?
A: Patreon will fulfill all of your “Fulfilled by Patreon” items that are included with your rewards. As long as you fill out your delivery address through their system in your account, Patreon will send you your achieved rewards.

Q: How do I enter into the “Weekly Skirmish” or “Champions Showdown” SpellTable games?
A: The “Weekly Skirmish” and “Champions Showdown” schedules will be posted every month and will have all relevant details on how to play with us. Note: This is a new feature so will take us a little bit of time to set-up. Expect games to start in May 2022.

Q: When do I show up for the “Weekly Skirmish” or the “Champions Showdown?”
A: You can join by showing up in the “Weekly Skirmish” or “Champions Showdown” Discord channel (as long as you qualify). Three people will be randomly selected and sent a link to play against that week’s host. Once that game is over, another 3 people will be chosen and sent links to the second game, and so on. You can see a calendar HERE.

Q: If I played in a game, will I be eligible for the next week?
A: Each instance of the “Weekly Skirmish” and “Champions Showdown” will reset, so if you played in the last session, you will still be eligible to play the following session.

Q: So all I have to do is sign up to audition for Game Knights?
A: Yup! We will always post the details of auditions on our website and make that link known to all of our Patrons. As long as you are a Patron and meet our legal requirements, you can audition!

Q: What is this “Chance to get a shoutout every episode”?
A: Every episode of Command Zone, we call out one Patreon member (chosen at random from any tier) directly and dedicate that episode to them as a way of saying thank you to the people who keep us going.

Q: What does the Patreon-Only Discord Channel offer?
A: Want to ask a question to someone on the CZ staff? Want to get Jimmy or JLK’s take on a certain card, ban or subject? Want to get deck building advice from our community of veteran Commander players? Interact with all of us on the Patreon-Only Discord Channel!

Q: How early can I access the early episodes of Extra Turns and Game Knights?
A: We post a link to the early access videos at least one day before the video goes live to the general public.

Q: What does this unlock code for Lifelinker do?
A: Once you download our life tracking app Lifelinker, you will be able to redeem this code and have access to our exclusive Patreon extra features which include extra backgrounds, animations, colors and more.

Q: What do the show notes and outlines have that I’m interested in?
A: Want to see how we organize the podcast? Want to get the inside information? Sometimes we have notes on subjects that just don’t make it to air. Or lists of most of the cards we talked about. See all of that and more in our show notes and outlines.

Q: Will Command Zone follow EVERYONE on Instagram and Twitter if they are a Patron?
A: We want to follow everyone back at the right tier, but The Command Zone reserves the right not to follow anyone who may cause Command Zone employees to feel uncomfortable when they sign into our accounts. Some of these indicators might include nudity, pornographic material, calls for violence, etc.

Q: What is the Bonus Content, and where can I see it?
A: These are videos that we create that are not available on our regular YouTube channel for the general public. This could include bonus moments from Game Knights or Extra Turns, Exclusive sketches, Player commentary on past games and so much more! You can see all Bonus Content HERE.

Q: How do I get this token that I can redeem for merch in the CZ store?
A: Every 6 months of Patronage at the $50 level or above, you will be emailed a code that will allow you to receive one item from our store for free. You will still need to pay for shipping costs.

Q: What is this Team Jacket all about?
A: Every year, we design a special jacket for our staff members. At this level, you are part of the team. As such, you will receive everything each team member of the Command Zone receives each year, so you’ll get the team jack and all of the merchandise we've created for Kickstarter that year too!
