The Communicate Influence Podcast

Communicate Influence is a podcast and online magazine for people in communications, marketing, and writing. It features podcast and online in-depth interviews with thought leaders in PR, communications, marketing, leadership, and more. Thought leaders share their insights, best practices, ideas, and predictions on emerging trends.

I'm Sheelagh Caygill, founder of Communicate Influence, a side-project about which I'm passionate. I'm a writer, avid reader, poet, and journalist based in Toronto, Canada.

What Will I do With Your Support?

The biggest cost of Communicate Influence cannot be calculated in financial terms. It's generously donated in the form of knowledge and time by the people I interview.

For me, there is time spent researching topics, selecting interviewees, editing podcasts, paying for equipment and sometimes special editing, selecting interviewees, developing content, site maintenance, and social media sharing. I pay for a decent hosting package to ensure site speed. Occasionally a bit of coding and design skill is required, along with premium Wordpress plugins. I intend to cover most of these costs with donor support.

Thanks to my patrons to-date, who have helped me invest in a decent podcast set up, which includes two mics, a Zoom H4n pro recorder, SquadCast for remote interviews, and a soundshield.. 

In the longer term, I intend to write some non-fiction books. The first book is in the early research stages. It's for professionals working in PR/comms and marketing and I'll write more about this in coming months.
