About Community Connections Group

Our vision is to help those in the community reach their potential by providing training and resources. We plan to reach everyone in the community by providing programs for the youth, adults, and the elderly.

Community Connections Group Inc. attracts, partners and coordinates resources for the community by promoting education, culture, and healthy lifestyles to encouraged and produce  positive change.

To fulfill our goals we a weekly radio show on 104.7Fm WLOU where we discuss, educate and entertain the community. We have also started the Diversity Breakfast "Closing the 9th Street Divide" We started this event 5 years ago. The first breakfast we partnered with local News outlets to help ease the racial tensions that exist in our city and country. With 2020 being a challenging year we need this more than ever. We are hoping to unite our entire by simply talking to one another. So we can learn our hopes, dreams, fears, and to find out we are not so different.

We go around to various homeless camps to feed and clothe the homeless, we have an annual Thanksgiving Turkey Give-a-way. This past year we exceeded our goal of 800 turkeys and were able to give away 906 turkeys, 8000lbs of chickens and 2000lbs of potatoes, 2000lbs cabbage, and can goods to families in need. We also have our Books and Basketball Reading Program, Community Pride Clean Up Day, Boys 2 Men Mentoring Program, and we partner with the Main Event Sports Show to help them with their Main Event Leadership Academy.
