Thanks for visiting my Patreon page! After hearing repeated admonitions for years of "you've got to get your stuff out there!" from friends and fans, I finally decided to do something about it. I would love to have you join my community and be part of this journey!

There are, literally, thousands of composers and songwriters out there in need of support. Why would you choose to join my Patreon community? Read more about me and my music below and see if what I do resonates with you.

What Kind of Music Do You Write?
I've written more choral music than anything else, which is unusual because I've always been an instrumentalist! But choral opportunities have regularly presented themselves, and I'm happy to take them on.

Concert Band/Symphonic Band music has always been an interest of mine; part of my dissertation was a symphonic work for winds and percussion. I've written several other shorter works for band, and hope to continue expanding my wind music catalog. I write educational music to help young musicians love music, and to show them that composers are still writing music today! I want my creativity to inspire younger musicians in the same way that I was inspired (and continue to be) by composers and their works.

I have particular interest and passion for sacred music, both for concert and worship settings. The composers that motivate and inspire this focus are Bach, Handel, Mendelssohn, Vaughan Williams and Stravinsky. I hope to follow in their footsteps. It is my desire that my sacred/church music inspire faith and motivate a way of life that lives out that faith.

What Makes You Unique?
I'm a regular guy! While I love classical music, going to museums, reading and supporting local arts, I also love watching football, baseball, hockey; and cheering on my favorite teams in the process! (Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks, from my Chicago roots). I think this balance of "artist - normal guy" really comes out in my music: you can hear the classical training, but you also can hear that I have listened to jazz, pop, soundtracks and folk music. I want my music to invite lots of people around the table, so to speak, and join together in sharing a musical experience.

Why Should I Become A Patron?

You should only become a patron of my music if you are a fan of my music!  My patrons help make it possible for me to get the music in the hands of musicians and listeners, all while getting exclusive access to my music-making process.

Before I Decide To Become a Patron, How Can I Hear Your Music?

Check out my intro video to get a brief introduction to my music. I tried to keep it short and sweet, but still helpful and informative!

If this all sounds good to you, I'd love to have you join my Patreon community! Thank you!
