Connected Rights is creating digital rights news and advice

I'm David Meyer, a tech writer with over a decade's experience, and Connected Rights is the outlet for the subject I'm most passionate about: our rights in the online world, and how to protect them.

I've already been writing the Connected Rights newsletter (which comes out on Wednesdays) for a few months now, and I recently set up the Connected Rights website to act as a repository for those weekly outpourings. However, I want Connected Rights to be a lot more than a news and analysis service.

  • I want the site to be a handy resource hub for people who want to find out more about how to stand up for their rights - protecting their privacy, for example - and how to help make the internet a better place for all of us.
  • Down the line, I'd also like to start producing short, easily-shareable videos that explain the most pressing digital rights issues of the day, in terms that even technophobic people can understand.

To get Connected Rights to the next level - to make it useful to more people - will require more resources, in terms of both time and money. So if you're into what I'm trying to achieve here, and you have a little cash to spare to help fund this project, I'd be eternally grateful.
