What's Gucci My Ducci!

[~welcome to my patreon~]

Who Are You?
Ahoy! My name is Connor Miller and I am an organizer, writer, and ghost currently residing in Seattle, Washington. With an eye for efficiency, creativity, and productivity, I spend my time working with creative folk who are experimenting with their career paths. I operate as a consultant, a sounding board, and a connector for those who want to work their dream job but aren't sure exactly how to get there. When I am not "business-y", I am usually writing and reading novels in cafes around town. As of today, I have written three books, two of which you can purchase on Amazon!

What's Your Cred?
I have worked with small business my entire life, from California to New York to the Pacific Northwest. Currently, I interview creatives who run online shops in order to learn about their successes, their setbacks, and their strategies. My focus is helping artists flesh out their business plans and form actionable next-steps for growth. I have blogged about some of my findings (which you can read here), but have met so many incredible people that it is difficult to write about all of them! Utilizing this community, I bring a personal touch to motivating people to get the resources they need to level up their venture.

Why Should I Join Your Patreon?
When running your own business, you may realize it's hard to see the forest for the trees. If you're making hand-made toys, taking beautiful photos, or making zines, it is likely that the business side of things for you is a headache. I happen to love deadlines, calendars, spreadsheets, networking, and countless other tasks that are essential for maintaining your core operations. Whether you just need a nudge in the right direction or a full reassessment, I'm here to help.

Where Does The Money Go?
  • Coffee Shop Office - $200/mo
    • I do the majority of my work in cafes, which means I spend roughly $4 to sit down and work through all of my tasks. If I'm going to a cafe 1-2 times a day, that's roughly $200/month of just having an office anywhere in Seattle.
  • Website - $24/year
    • I am currently on the "Personal" Wordpress tier, but would love to upgrade if I can!
  • Transportation - $50/mo
    • Sometimes I have to travel efficiently to certain neighborhoods to connect with clients, businesses, and interview subjects! Lyft can be $10-$20 depending on variables, and usually I'm traveling to network 2-3 times a month.
  • Publishing - $30/month [flexible]
    • When publishing books, blogs, newsletters, etc., there are often an assortment of minute costs that add up to quite a bit. Ordering proofs, printing manuscripts, and sending out books costs a lot, and it can total up to $30/month depending on what I'm writing at the time.
  • Research - $50/mo
    • Along with hands on learning, interviews, and the good ol' web, I also need to stay on top of current technologies, practices, and systems. This means subscribing to news publications and getting one book a month in fields related to my spheres of influence. Being informed means that I can help my clients better, and the costs of staying on top are at a minimum $50/month.

In Conclusion...
I'm here to help! I joined Patreon in order to share my expertise in the most easily accessible way possible. I, too, am in a state of constant learning, and I am constantly reworking and refining my approach to find the best way for creative folks to continue producing things that they love. My ultimate goal is being part of and supporting this community while contributing my writing and research skills to all of y'all.
