Constant Listener needs you, just as you need it.

We've come to an interesting crossroads. Every day podcasts are becoming more popular among listeners, but at the same time the landscape is expanding at an exponential rate making it harder to discover new programs worth your time. We find that the pressure to keep up with the medium can be sometimes prohibitive to audiences. That's where Constant Listener come in.

As a writer covering the world of podcasting for the past three years at The A.V. Club, I know firsthand the need for a dedicated outlet providing thoughtful, long-form critical writing about this vibrant and kaleidoscopic medium. As with music, television, and film, podcasting will benefit greatly from increased coverage and examination. At its heart, the role of the critic is to illuminate; not simply seeking to appraise works, but also to teach audiences how to listen more completely and engagedly.

If you believe in this mission, I'd be extremely appreciative of your support.

  • Like the podcasts I write about, this site a labor of love. I'm not looking to get rich off of it, so if everyone who feels this is a worthwhile endeavor chips in, I'd be immensely pleased.
