About Continuous Dream Audio Theater

Welcome to Continuous Dream.  My name is Amy Crider.  I've been writing plays and novels for over fifteen years, and this podcast is a showcase of my writing as well as some of the great actors I've been privileged to work with.  My goal in launching this as a Patreon show is to be able to pay my actors and sound engineer.  Non-Equity actors often have to work for no pay, but I will always pay everyone who works on my shows.  Thanks for stopping by!  I'll be updating this page regularly as I decide on tiers of support and member bonuses.

The dedicated website for the podcast is There you can see pictures of the cast and link to the RSS feed of the episodes.

Our first episode is the one-man show Charlie Johnson Reads All of ProustWhen it was produced in St Louis in June, the press called it, "thoughtfully compelling," "beautifully written," "a charmer," and "a gem."

In October we'll have a Halloween show of short plays.  In November, some light comedy.  In December there will be a members-only holiday video discussing the iconic 1951 film version of A Christmas Carol. In January a full length play, Wells and Welles, based on true events.  Then in February, if we've gotten some support, we'd like to do a thriller, Noir miniseries called They Are Distant.

The Chicago actors who comprise the Continuous Dream ensemble are Jeff Broitman, Erin Caswell, Linsey Summers, Baird Brutscher, Pete Blatchford, and Johnny Kalita. Our sound engineer is Alvaro Ledesma.  Recordings take place at Mystery Street Recording Company.

When we have 8 patrons we will do the thriller miniseries "They Are Distant."  Inspired by Film Noir, the story follows an innocent young American woman in post-war Paris and the hunt for an escaped Nazi known as The Gargoyle.
