About Cork Safety Alerts

Why Patreon?
We've joined Patreon so that we can allow our followers to contribute, and help keep Cork Safety Alerts running. We'll give some added benefits (such as exclusive app content, Patreon only competitions etc.) to our Patreon users!

We're voluntary run, and have some running costs to cover. Some of the costs involved in running Cork Safety Alerts:

• Domain Names
• Web Server
• Mobile App Server
• Push Notification Server

These are only the technical aspects - more importantly is the time provided by our team. We all have 'day jobs' - full time employment and families!

You don't need to contribute, you don't need to become a Patron. We'll still do what we do, because we love doing it. ☺️

About Cork Safety Alerts

Cork Safety Alerts are a team of volunteers who research, collate and publish Traffic, Travel and Safety related news in Cork. Cork Safety Alerts is a sole individual entity, we are not affiliated with any other business, media, news or government organisations.

Established in early 2013 ‘Cork Potholes’ was setup with an aim to highlight the damage on local roads in Cork. Cork Potholes gained a large following in a short period of time, and shortly after we decided to launch Cork Flood Alerts which came from the need for a medium to highlight flooding and road issues in Cork.

Cork Safety Alerts was born in 2016, and in July 2018, the much anticipated Cork Safety Alerts iPhone application was released. The app was greatly received by the public, and in the first day surpassed almost 1000 downloads from the App Store. The app shot up in the iTunes App Store Charts, reaching Number 4 in Travel and Number 29 in the overall App Store.
