Hi, my name is Ejen and I post cosplayer interviews every day on my social media. Well, saying interview feels a bit formal, I generally let cosplayers talk about their story.

I've had  Facebook, Instagram Twitter and  Tumblr  for close to a decade now but it wasn't until a few years back that I realized I wanted to read the cosplayer's story in addition to seeing the photos.

This started back in 2010 when I released  Cosplay in America . The hardcover coffee table book featured cosplay photos taken at 6 conventions from around the country. There were a few quotes but it wasn't until the second book  Cosplay in America V2 that I dove into the culture of cosplay by visiting 20 cities from coast to coast, interviewing cosplayers, following them as they make their cosplay, packing into their cars and traveling to the conventions. The thing I learn is how important it is to hear each person's story. I took it to heart and started to search out a cross section of cosplayers on social media and reach out to them to hear their stories.

For me, Patreon acts as a tip jar. I'll never put any stories behind a paywall. if you’ve enjoyed what I've done in the past, and would like to contribute to its future, I hope you’ll consider becoming a patron starting at $1 a month.
