Welcome to Crafting as a Service

Hi, I’m Nick, aka Tickthokk! I’m your typical video game and comic book nerd, who also has a passion for creating helpful tools and websites for video games.

CaaS has been your source for crafting information and planning for Final Fantasy XIV, and I'm expanding this idea to work with all crafting games. I’d love to have your support.

A Brief History

CraftingAsAService.com began in 2013, focusing solely on FFXIV’s crafting system. Sometime later I purchased FFXIVCrafting.com to be a little more specific. I maintained the CaaS domain as I knew it had a broader potential.

Funnily enough I stopped playing FFXIV in 2014, but continued to maintain the site. I’ve received so many kind words from Reddit and from people who’ve emailed me, it’s really kept me motivated to continue updating.

What does the site help you do?

Crafting can be fun in games, but there’s always a nagging feeling that you could be doing it better, more organized.

Crafting: Pick out what you want to craft, and CaaS tells you the most self sufficient method of crafting it: Where to get the prerequisite materials, what to buy from merchants, what enemies to slay, and how much you’ll need.

Equipment: Still wearing those freebie level 1 rags? Find the best pieces of equipment for your class/job’s current level

Leveling: Repeatable quests may be the best way to level your crafting. See them at a glance: like what offers the most experience, or what’s the easiest to complete?

The best part is, you’re able to start doing all of these things on FFXIVCrafting.com!

How can I help?

Become a Patron, and you’ll be supporting me while I achieve all this great stuff:

  1. Support will allow more development time towards Crafting as a Service
  2. The freedom to purchase/subscribe to games for data scraping and research. I promise I won’t enjoy a second of it ;)
  3. FFXIVCrafting’s ongoing maintenance
  4. Keeping CaaS and FFXIVCrafting ad-free

Other ways to help

In the past I’ve had a offers for things data gathering/entry, language translations, that sort of thing. I may need those things in the future! Keep an ear out, but for now it’s a one man show until I figure out what’s capable of being delegated.

Thank you

Just a huge Thank You to everyone who has used my site these past 5 years, everyone who’s sent me notes, bug reports, encouragement, feature requests, commented on the subreddit, everything!

A super big Thank You to everyone who’s donated to me via PayPal as well. The site would not be up without your support.
