Seeing Hammond Through Community Art

The Hammond Development Corporation (“HDC”) is introducing a new program to sponsor original works by Northwest Indiana artists working in the Hammond community. The HDC plans 12 initial Community Art works in this series.

The artist will produce an original work in their preferred medium with subject matter related to the City of Hammond. The original work will be sold to a single individual and posters will be sold to everyone donating at the $25 tier.

The first work in the series was created by Mark Anderson - a watercolor of iconic Hohman Avenue in downtown Hammond.

This next work will be created by Felix “Flex” Maldonado - an interpretation of Wolf Lake Pavillion in north Hammond.
