The Crocheters Radically Empower Every Person Alliance ("CREEP") was founded in order to create and donate hand stitched apparel, accessores, and afghans to survivors of domestic violence (DV). CREEP was founded by a domestic violence survivor who wanted to share her passion for crocheting in a way which would benefit those with similar experiences. Crocheting is a therapeutic tool used by the founder to help her heal from the emotional pain of DV. Physical scars heal and most disappear. Emotional scars remain forever. Crocheting is an outlet for healing that she is sharing with others who have experienced the trama of DV. CREEP was established as a means to help DV survivors re-establish their wardrobe and belongings, as well as give them a warm hug each time they wear a hand stitched item of clothing or snuggle in an afghan. There is a lot of love that goes into hand stitching items that will be donated to others. The founder's only compensation is the smile that she receives from the recipients of her items and the pledges made through this page.

The donations that you make to the CREEP Alliance through this Patreon page go toward purchasing yarn and other crochet tools as well as to defray the cost of shipping items to the recipients. 100% of your donations are reinvested in order to continue making and donating items to DV survivors.

Why "CREEP"? Some people may associate this word with the domestic violence perpetrator. In actuality, that person is far worse than a creep. CREEP was selected as the Alliance's name to remind the DV survivor that they have crept out of the situation they were in and are now creeping toward rebuiliding themselves and their lives, one day and one step at a time. They are creeping toward health and happiness...
