Hi!  My name is Andrew Gurza, and I am a Disability Awareness Consultant AND Cripple Content Creator.   I work as a blogger, podcaster and public speaker creating content around the lived experience of disability as it intersects with queerness.   Let me tell you about my main project, and why it is important to me.

The DisabilityAfterDark podcast is a program that deals specifically with sex and disability, something that we very rarely see in popular culture.  The podcast plans to shine a bright light on sex and disability, going deeper into the topic than ever before.  I have self-produced all episodes myself, welcomed a diverse guest roster and tried to share what discussions around sex/sexuality are really like! DisabilityAfterDark is available iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher.

In its first week in rotation, The DisabilityAfterDark Podcast reached the Top 10 Sexuality themed podcasts on iTunes, and it is firmly in the Top 100 podcasts in that category.   With your help we can continue this trend!

Also, I have just launched a new podcast called When I Was A Disabled Kid, which aims to look at disability and childhood stories, by interviewing disabled adults about how their disabilities influenced them growing up.   The first episode will be up very soon and the teaser is available now.

By pledging here, you'll be able to support both podcasts will be helping me to create more "cripple content" - content for and by the disabled community -  and optimize the quality of this digital content to keep the conversation going around  sex and disability, as well as disability culture and history.  Your donations will be used to purchase better recording equipment, keep the shows up and running, and will help me to bring these conversations far and wide.   I couldn't do it without you all!

Thank you so much,

To make DisabilityAfterDark  as accessible as possible to everyone and to build support for the shows, the only reward tier we have is $1.   This will give you access to all kinds of rewards; early access to episodes, chances to video chat, blogs, shout outs on the air, etc.   Thank you so much for all your support.  To those who are able to give more, I thank you; to those who can only give this amount, I thank you as well.
Goals
$287 of $501 per month
With these pledges, I'll be able to create more content, and secure new equipment to optimize the listening experience of "DisabilityAfterDark."  I'm working with an intern, Rae, out in Vancouver, and these pledges will help me to pay them for their time and dedication researching show topic ideas.
