Milestone Goals
Help us cover the costs of operations
$100 per month
Being a sassy and sexy vulture isn't cheap. We have things like hosting, CDN setups and other background tools we need to pay for each month. Reaching a hundred dollars will help us to cover all of this.
Reduce ads
$150 per month
We don't like having ads on the site. If you lovely people help us out with some dollars, we will be able to reduce the amount to just a couple per article.
Competition Prize Funds
$250 per month
We already run a Poem of the Week contest but we'd like to be able to offer a huge incentive for people to enter by offering them a big wad of cash for their talents.
Buy proper recording equipment
$500 per month
In case you didn't know, we now regularly update our YouTube channel with gaming and writing series' as often as we can. Helping us reach this goal means that we can buy better, jazzier equipment that will make all the difference in production.
Hire proofreaders, offer proofreading services, run webinars
$1,000 per month
When we reach this awesome goal, it means we will be able to hire a couple of proofreaders who we can then utilise to help give guidance to prospective writers. We will also bring in big names in writing and have them involved in webinars with fans and aspiring writers alike.

What the Devil Are We?
Cultured Vultures is an accidentally non-profit organisation that thrives on bringing opportunities for writers, musicians and more. We love talking to up and comers and have dedicated many series' to showcasing burgeoning writers, breakout bands and visionaries.

Here are just a few of the ways in which we brought the spotlight on those who deserve it:

Rising Writers
The Greenwich Series
Poem of the Week
Ones to Watch
New Band of the Month
Single of the Week

What have we accomplished so far?
Despite being "The Little Guy" and totally independent, we have managed to accomplish plenty in our relatively short lifespan so far. We have interviewed literary heroes like Max Brooks, been able to share advice from the always excellent Danny King and have had our work shared by a variety of big names.

However, our goal has always been to help aspiring writers find the occupations they deserve by giving them the necessary feedback and guidance. Many of our contributors have gone on to find their dream jobs and that extra step on the ladder:

"Writing is often a singular world, and it sometimes can feel like a fruitless exercise, especially if you’ve got no particular basis or landmark. Cultured Vultures has provided me with not only a creative outline, but a different perspective on writing altogether.

The experience I gained from writing on CV meant that I have recently just got my first ever paid writing job. I couldn’t be more thankful to Jimmy for his part in my growth as a writer. If it wasn’t for his very unexpected request to write for him after I ranted on my blog about how much of a twat Katie Hopkins is, I doubt I’d have survived writing this long. Jimmy Donnellan, you are wonderful."

Why do we need help?
Making a penny from a website is getting harder and harder with each year. Although we are growing, it's not quite at the speed which we would like.

Pledging to Cultured Vultures ensures that we will be able to keep this crazy project going and continue to help aspiring writers achieve a successful career, as well as maintaining our journalistic integrity with longform, authoritative articles. Clickbait is not our thing.
