What We Are Asking

After 4 years of award-winning, innovative work, Culture Mill is launching a sustainer campaign. We want to ask your help in our continuing to offer professional quality artworks made in rural North Carolina, creative tools to non-arts sectors through our outreach programs, and the availability of our resources such as the Culture Mill Lab to local groups and individuals through our open space policy.

Because a deep-rooted, long-term connection to our community is a cornerstone of our vision, we now ask you: a member of our community, to become a sustainer of Culture Mill. Your contribution will help to continue all of these important elements of our work. By becoming a sustainer, you can gain access to many aspects of our creative process, and even to special crafted experiences for certain donors. Any amount is meaningful to us.

More than anything, you are becoming an investor in a radical vision: a world where independent, local and innovative world-class art is grown in rural North Carolina, serving as a model for the future of locally sustained creative culture.

A Home

This goal allows us to pay the rent for the Culture Mill Lab: our studio home where we create all of our artistic programs happening in Saxapahaw and elsewhere, where we welcome artists in residence, where we host students in our educational workshops, and the resource we make available to other community organizations and artists as a part of our Open Space Policy. It also covers the cost of all utilities and insurance costs vital to running our programs.
