Hi, I’m CutiePieSensei and I’m a cosplay addict. If you're here, you probably already know a lot about me and my cosplay, or have seen some of my work before. However, you may not know much about me personally or how I got my start into this whole thing!
I’m a concept artist by day and TECHNICALLY started my first cosplay about 5 years ago. I was first introduced to cosplay by my other half :) I never knew anything about conventions, but always had a love for anime and video games. When he took me to my first one, I was officially in love. The people, the costumes, the atmosphere; it was like I had been missing out on paradise! We continued going for a couple of years and I decided to make my first costume in 2013 for Anime Weekend Atlanta — Korra from Legend of Korra. Since it was my first foray, I had no sewing skills and made the whole thing primarily out of glue, fabric, and pre-made items I could try to convert into something useful. It ended up being a huge success and I’m incredibly proud of how it turned out!
After that first experience and seeing what it felt like to actually live the full cosplay experience, I was completely hooked. However, even after that first experience, I only made one small costume a year. I only had a small part time job so I wasn't able to afford much, and as a student I was trying to focus on getting my degree. However, I have since started working full time and now can dedicate more time to my craft! When I’m not cosplaying, as I mentioned earlier I am a concept artist at Hi-Rez Studios (specifically Heroic Leap). I used to work on Smite, and now I'm on Realm Royale! I also love to play video games, my favorite “current” games being Spiderman and Persona 5. My favorite “all time” game is a three way tie between Persona 5, Mass Effect 2, and Dragon Age Inquisition. Video games are becoming one of my favorite categories to cosplay from as the characters tend to have more detail and really awesome reference. However, I've grown a special love for superheroes too, probably through the indoctrination process via the MCU lol. Since starting cosplay, I’ve tried to learn something new with every new costume I’ve done and am constantly growing and striving to get better.
First and foremost, my Patreon is NOT going to be entirely "exclusive". I understand that not everyone is going to have the funds to pay for things like this, and I don't want to exclude people from being able to support my content. This page is just for those who want to help me make these costumes possible, potentially get even MORE costumes, and serves as a way for me to actually give back to these super fans. You all show me love, and I can return that favor here! SO this Patreon will function as more of a preview/addition to my social media pages. Most (not necessarily all) of the content I post here will always eventually be posted to my social pages BUT they will be here an available to patrons for a few days up to over a month BEFORE everyone else gets to see!
As a patron, you will get rewards like:
- First access to social media posts/pics
- Closet cosplay polls where YOU decide what I wear/make
- Print/Online Shop Discounts
- Behind the Scenes photos, videos, gifs
- Larger photo sets than what I post to social media
I want to be able to DO and BE more for you guys. I want to be able to create tons of awesome costumes and content and let y’all see the real me; all the frustration and goofy stuff that goes on behind the scenes, all the failures before the successes, everything.
Let’s be real: cosplay is pretty expensive. Of course, some costumes cost more to make than others, but tools, fabric, EVA foam, etc can add up really really fast. Each costume can cost hundreds of dollars, and because of that I’m not able to always make them as frequently as I want to. Not to mention, traveling to cons out of state is even MORE money. I have a real life outside of cosplay, so I make sure my budget goes to the important things first and foremost like bills and student loans. With the added support of Patreon, you guys can help me create more content for you and in the future be able to see some of you peeps at a con! I will be able to grow the quality and quantity of my work.
I'm really new to this Patreon thing, so please bare with me as we grow together! I'm trying to figure it all out and I'm always open to suggestions on content and other ideas. After all, helping me help you will ultimately make everyone happy <3 Even if you are not able to give monetary support, even the gesture of a follow on instagram or a like of my Facebook page is still an amazing show of support and I appreciate you so much! Thanks for being interested enough to check out my Patreon and I hope you stick around!
***Important note*** Patrons will receive rewards once your payment has been processed.
