Riskier prints
With more money comes more ability to make prints bigger and better. The sad fact about art, especially printmaking, is that it takes time and money to do well. With each funding milestone I can devote more time, energy, and materials to making better and better prints. This may mean multi-layer prints, hand-painted details, you name it!
Danger Pri.me
Shoot for the stars! My artist website, DangerPri.me, will be worked into a hub for hosting and eventually selling the work of local artists. I would ultimately like to be able to create a community of artists and provide space for an online presence and e-commerce. This is a real stretch goal that I really hope we can get to!

Hello,
My name is Dana, I'm the artist and owner behind DangerPri.me. I'm also an out-loud and proud queer trans woman who recently quit her job to chase her dreams of making art full-time. I had this zany idea for a Patreon campaign and I'd like you to read on and give it a chance.
Why I am asking for money
As an artist I am always looking for ways to make my art my life. My old job did not leave me with the time or energy necessary to follow my passion, so I made the necessary decision to find my dreams elsewhere.
Living in the Bay Area like I do is not cheap, and I would really like to give my art a chance before I pursue part-time work on the side, so I would like this Patreon to cover my basic medical insurance and rent. I live in a stable environment with my girlfriend, but I need to do my duty and contribute to the family.
What kind of prints I do
The print you will receive will be made using the cyanotype process. Cyanotype is a process developed in 1842 by John Herschel and used for decades thereafter. In fact, blueprints are blue because they were originally done as cyanotype prints! The chemicals involved are much safer and require less special handling than other printmaking techniques, so this is a perfect process to do while I'm working from home.
The process creates a beautiful, stunning Prussian blue, but can also be toned in a variety of techniques to create luscious browns, purples, and blacks. My favorite thing to do is make prints of pressed flowers, but I've also accumulated a collection of objects with gorgeous silhouettes, and I have the ability to print photographs as negatives and make photographic reproductions.
There is no limit to the creativity of cyanotype!

What your pledge gets you
Your monthly pledge will get you 1 brand-new original print per month. Think of them like little treats you will receive every month as a thank you for your interest in my work.How much you pledge determines the size of print you will receive. Smaller donations will get you a postcard size print, and larger donations will scale up to 11x14 inches in size. Larger prints will be sent in a rigid mailer with enough time to get to your home by the end of the month. (larger prints are on hiatus, see August update)

Postcards will be sent only after payment is processed. I have heard instances of fraud in these sorts of campaigns so I need to protect myself from dishonesty.
