Who am I?

I'm Daniel, and I caught the gamedev bug back in 2013. I've dabbled in all kinds of games and tech demos - top-down shooterscrafting games, janky board and card games, a smattering of shader demonstrations and even a homebrew Gameboy Advance mini-port - and I'm ready to focus my work into a more professional portfolio of projects.

I make games in my free time, alongside doing my PhD at Warwick University. I'm heavily involved in our Game Design Society as President - that's how you know I'm invested in this for the long run! My ultimate goal is to enter the games industry, so I'd like to build a community and get involved more heavily with creators outside of the Warwick-sphere. That's what this Patreon is for - a connection point between the gaming community and me.

What does this Patreon cover?

I'd like to make more small games. To put it bluntly, it's easier to work towards that goal if there's an audience who enjoy those games! I want my work to be available to everyone, and your contributions will motivate me to keep creating things.

In the future, I aim to create smaller, focused games that explore a single mechanic, and introspective games that condense my own thoughts and emotions into easily-consumable packages. I first experimented with that idea for my Meditation Games submission, and it seemed to resonate with many people!

Where can I find your existing work?

I primarily use itch.io to distribute my games. On top of that, I hope to release more games on the Google Play Store in the future. Coming primarily from a programming background, you'll find much of my work on Github.

I also have a collection of game jam entries for Ludum Dare and Global Game Jam, although these tend to be highly experimental (and probably quite broken).

If you'd like to connect with me on Twitter, that's cool too!

Whatever your reason for supporting me, you have my eternal gratitude! If you're unable to pledge anything, then you still have my thanks for playing my games! ❤
