Dr Andy's IP

is creating Artificial Intelligence software that offers advice
The internet makes data free, opinions free, and facts free, but advice is still very expensive.

Help us to fix that!

Dr Andy's IP has a unique technology that enables us, or you with a bit of work, to create systems of knowledge that can be reused over and over again.  This is a very new version of the idea of anexpert system
With our software you can take pieces of knowledge, for instance how a particular set of laws work, how to comply with a set of rules, seeing if you qualify for a loan, and build a program that implements them.
This knowledge is held in things we call "rulesets". Our technology uses a fuzzy logic and fuzzy numeric inference engine, running using our own language, called DARL. It's this easy to understand language the rulesets are written in. Read more about the technology at darl.ai.

We want to create a site where this knowledge can be free to everybody.  So If you don't know how to do something, or want advice on getting a grant from your local government, or any process where a set of rules or heuristics apply, you can come to this site and get this advice free!

The really clever thing about our software is that you can automatically convert a ruleset into a questionnaire, which runs on a web page, or as a bot on Skype, Facebook messenger, Slack and more. The questionnaire always asks the most important questions first, and never asks a question it doesn't need to. As soon as it has all the data it needs it gives the user the results, and optionally triggers further actions.

To create free rulesets that people need, we have to:

a) Find out from real people what they would like to know
b) Research and build rulesets they can use
c) Host the rulesets so anyone can use them.

We'll provide our software free for open source projects but we need you to help so that we can get this idea underway and pay for the expensive business of creating reliable rulesets that people can use.
We'll keep the rulesets open source, so that everybody can see how they work, and make it possible, Wikipedia style for the public to change them. That way if rules change, or variables like interest rates change, the rulesets can be rapidly updated..
