Using vintage Czech glass beads, large semi-precious stones like poppy jasper, crystals, jade, and chrysoprase, vintage copper chains and other findings, bones I source ethically from several sources, dead stock I come across through various means, as well as other bits and found objects here and there, I tinker to create one of a kind pieces of jewelry at affordable prices. I started making jewelry for myself in 2009, a series of bone brooches (from a couple of mink skeletons my sister gave me as a birthday gift), and then finally the summer of 2013, decided to really make a go of it. Within one year, I have almost been able to cut out all my other sources of income and devote myself to jewelry full time. Almost. It is something I love immeasurably, and I will spend up to 13 hours a day creating, but I still have to duck out and take on odd jobs and whatnot to flesh out my income, which still finds me struggling in the day to day.

In the last few months, I have expanded my jewelry line beyond my two cities of residence (Louisville, KY and Minneapolis, MN), to Nashville, TN. My next goals are New Orleans, LA, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and Seattle, WA in 2015. With your help, I can keep myself in supplies and devote myself full time to making this dream a reality.

At this reward point, I will make you something that isn't jewelry. I'll write you a short little song and send it to you on a disc, I'll paint you a little something, I'll write you a note covered in doodles. Something, and you won't know what. But it'll be worth it.

Goals
$5 of $500 per month
At the $500/month marker, I believe I would be able to finagle the funds and time to make the trip to LA to explore shops and boutiques that might be interested in my work. There is a large oddities community there, and breaking into a large market with more disposable income would be most beneficial to my work.
