Decode Me Space is the brainchild of Kathleen Mazurek, an artist, designer and educator from Baltimore, Maryland. Since 2008, her work has focused on using technology and media exploration as bridges for visual communication. Decode Me Space arose from the need of holding space for students to use design to develop a strategy library for socio-emotional learning.
Going three years strong, Decode Me Space has built their library at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Open Works, the Motor House, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, and Baltimore County Public Library.  Your contributions can take our resources to the next level--an online subscription of digital content.

Artist Bio:
Kathleen Mazurek is dual certified in art K-12/special education secondary and holds a Masters in Leadership in Teaching from Notre Dame of Maryland University.  She has developed and facilitated art and design education curriculum for elementary/middle school students through Kennedy Krieger Institute, Digital Harbor Foundation, Arts Every Day, Baltimore City Public Schools, Enoch Pratt Public Library, Baltimore Office for Promotion and Arts, and Art With a Heart.    Her work has been featured in  Slate Bmore Art Technical.ly Baltimore, and Baltimore County Public Library's Make-IT online makerspace . After her team's first app, createAchimera, won the 2015 Baltimore Hackathon, she has been exploring how to use technology as a means to develop empathy and foster metacognition.
