CinderFrost is an adult furry webcomic about Frost: a grumpy young buck on a search for his invisible boyfriend, and Cinder: a hell-touched wolf with a few secrets of his own. The comic is freely available to view here on Patreon, on FurAffinity and on Weasyl. Please keep in mind that some of the Patreon's content will be NSFW and won't be suitable to younger patrons.
Why do you need the money?
CinderFrost only gets worked on in my spare time, and at the moment, I don't have any spare time. Much as I love the project and want to finish it, it's become fairly unrealistic given my schedule. Commissions occupy a large portion of my drawing time and, while I don't want to stop doing commissions entirely, lessening the number I need to take on would definitely free up more time for the comic. The average page can take between 8-16 hours start to finish, so it's no easy feat to squeeze that much time in every week for regular updates. A steady flow of income for CinderFrost specifically would ensure those updates come more frequently.
Depending on the perk level you choose, you could get anything from access to the activity feed, sketchbook, livestreams, sneak peeks at sketched pages before they're posted, WIP breakdowns of my artwork from start to finish, or high rez PSDs of my artwork. Whatever perk level you choose, you get access to all the perks in tiers below your own as well. Once I hit the $2500 milestone goal, I'll also start holding patron - only livestreams where patrons can request sketches of their characters.
Does this mean the comic is only available to patrons?
No, the comic itself will still be free to view by anyone. The perks, however, will be exclusive to patrons.
So, how does it all work?
If you take a look at my milestone goals, for every $1000 pledged I will create a page a month. The number is large but hardly reflects what I'd actually be making. After the currency exchange from USD to GBP, paypal fees, patreon fees, and the occasional declined credit card, I'm only making little over half of that. If I reach $5000/month, I will update the comic weekly. Once you pledge a certain amount, you'll have access to the Patreon's activity feed and the various creations available to your pledge-level. Your monthly payments aren't processed until the end of the month. You can lower, raise or cancel your pledge at any time. Perk packs containing content that can't be posted (such as high-rez PSDs) will be sent via e-mail to all applicable pledge levels once pledges have been processed at the beginning of the month.
Thanks to my readers for never giving up on this comic despite the sluggish pace of updates, and thanks to anyone who decides to pledge. I hope together we can make this Patreon and CinderFrost a huge success!
