About Derek Evry

Derek Evry is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Northern Virginia. Derek began his career at age 11 in the Washington Opera Company at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. (1997)
Derek went on to front several successful rock bands in the D.C. area (1999-2006) before briefly attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA (2006) and returning to D.C. to work on his own music.
Derek had his music featured on several episodes of the ABC crime drama “Castle” starring Stana Katic & Nathan Fillion. (2010 & 2012)
“Derek Evry & His Band of Misanthropes” performed to a full house at D.C.’s legendary 9:30 Club. (2014)
Derek has released several solo albums, as well as producing and performing on various other albums for various other musicians, including Rachel Levitin, Cathy DiToro, Carolyn Crysdale, Tom Goss, and Alex Parez.
Derek continues to perform with his many projects, most recently in Las Vegas at the Punk Rock Bowling 2019 music festival with his punk band “The Split Seconds”.
Derek regularly performs and teaches Bass, Guitar, Ukulele, Piano, Synthesizer, and Voice.
