About Daniel Gibbs

LinuxGSM has introduced many gamers to the wonderful world of Linux, by making it easy to get hosting your own dedicated Linux game server.

LinuxGSM is popular with gaming clans, communities and LAN and e-Sports organisers because of its simplicity. There is no complex setup, infrastructure or web interfaces required. It’s as simple as running one line of code to get started.

Back in 2012 I was managing clan websites, game servers and Teamspeak servers. While at a LAN gaming event I wanted to setup a Killing Floor game server, but I found it difficult and frustrating as there was a lack of simple tools, docs and tutorials online. So I decided to create my own script.

Since then LinuxGSM has been steadily growing with new servers, features and improvements added regularly.

With several years of development, the project is still growing. I continue to develop and support LinuxGSM alongside all the volunteer also their time to the project.

About LinuxGSM

LinuxGSM is the command-line tool for quick, simple deployment and management of Linux dedicated game servers.

Traditionally game servers are not easy to manage yourself. Admins often have to spend hours messing around trying to get their server working. LinuxGSM is a command-line tool designed to be as simple as possible, allowing admins to spend less time on management and more time gaming.

There are now 100+ dedicated servers supported and counting.
