WOW! Thank you!

If you've landed here and you're thinking of supporting what we do, a huge heartfelt THANK YOU. Donations like yours make Discover Dyfi possible. With your support, Discover Dyfi can continue working towards becoming an online journal of discovery, inspiration and wonder, as well as provide an important service to both locals and visitors of the Dyfi area of Mid-Wales and beyond.

If you are a visitor to the Dyfi area and the site has been inspiring and useful to you then we'd love to hear from you ([email protected]).
If you donate, we will use your generous donation to continue to provide the same for others like yourself, as well as find something fresh for you to discover when you next return ;).

If you are a local and the site has helped your business grow/you've discovered –– or rediscovered –– more about the area you live in then we'd love to hear from you ([email protected]).
If you donate, we will use your generous donation to continue to work towards inspiring you and others like you, including those moving or returning to the area.
If we receive enough donations we might be able to afford to make it a bi-lingual site and possibly also employ a local or two.

Discover Dyfi (Dovey) is a one-woman venture (more of an adventure) based in Mid-Wales, UK (tho', you may already know that). My name is Poppy and I am a Mum (to a baby boy named Barney) and a freelance consultant, helping local individuals and businesses to develop and promote what they do.

I started Discover Dyfi during my maternity and work on updating and advertising the site in my spare time. At the moment I spend around 16 hours a week researching, emailing, collating, writing, editing and uploading community details, as well as networking, flyering and updating Instagram (so that people know of and use the site). So far, the site costs are paid out of the money I earn as a Consultant, so Patreon donations would be SO welcome and really help me to spend more time on the site, delivering even more for the local community and the area's visitors –– possibly even hiring some help, which I'd love to do to further support the local economy and deliver better for our visitors.

Discover Dyfi is a celebration of all the wonderful events, people, places and stories there are to discover in and around the Dyfi (estuary, river, biosphere, and forest) and surrounding areas, in one easy-to-use, locally-managed site.

Discover Dyfi aspires to be a creative, informative and up-to-date digital diary and magazine for Mid-Wales, publishing guides on what to do, explore and see and where to refuel, rest and roam.

In addition to these guides, we also publish the Dyfi Directory, to connect residents and visitors to local businesses, craftspeople, freelancers, practitioners, and tradespeople.

Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to me.
