UnSequenced, a podcast from { DIYdancer }

{ DIYdancer } tells stories from inside dance. We are a project-based arts media company with contributors from all over the globe that are either artists working in the field and/or former professional dancers. In years past, we have focused on long-form and experimental dance writing, as well as photography and visual art, in both our web features and through the publication of three volumes of a print journal. Currently, { Dd } is galvanizing around our audio endeavors: we are in pre-production for Season 03 of our podcast UnSequenced, which unpacks the creative and choreographic process, and Issue 04 of our magazine, which will take on the theme of dancer mental health in the form of an audio journal released in early 2021. Patrons like you, will be pivotal in helping us produce these timely stories and classic oral histories.

Launched in June 2019, UnSequenced is a podcast in which we discover the stories and emotions behind the movement. Each episode dives deep into the creative process with a choreographer, documenting what compels them as an artist, what drives their artistic decisions for a particular work, and what unexpected things come up along the way.
