Hi,
So here's the deal with my pledge and this is the who, when and what this project is all about.
Oh, and most important, why I’m starting a Patreon account.

A Bit About Me:

I'm an industry analyst and consultant with more than 25 years of experience in the data management space: business intelligence (BI), analytics, data warehousing and big data.

My experience expands to almost all phases of application development, database, data warehouse (DWH), analytics and BI solution design, which includes more than 15 years in project management, covering best practices and new technologies in such areas.

I have been a senior project manager, senior analyst and consulting director for the development of BI, DWH, and data integration applications using solutions from different software providers and have worked on projects related to the implementation of data management solutions for the private and public sectors including among others, banking, insurance, retail and services.

What is This Thing Called ‘D’ OF Things?
Conceived initially as a personal blog, I used ‘D’ of Things to share personal thoughts and opinions about the vast sea of data that finds its way through our lives and work every day, and the best ways to deal with it.

However, the blog has evolved to a point where it can take a next step into being an ideal platform for providing consulting and industry advice and, more important, to allow me to generate independent research in all fields related to data, information and its analysis.

So, due to the increasing interest from the audience, I’ve decided to evolve ‘D’ of Things as an independent research and technology consulting organization specialized in all things data.

Taking ‘D’ of Things to the next phase
Now, I’m aiming to make ‘D’ of Things to be the right place to find high-quality research content and consulting, useful for all the data management community including software providers as well as individual users and organizations.

‘D’ of Things (DoT) has had a great start and I’m aiming to increase the existing and enthusiastic readership, as a sample take a look at the industry notes available at DoT.

To take DoT to the next level, become part of our community so you can:

  1. Make ‘D’ of Things to go on for a long time. The beta test is over. It works. We have readers.
  2. Make ‘D’ of Things a self-sustaining project. I’ve fund ‘D’ of Things with savings and it was fine for Phase 1, but now it's not sustainable. If ‘D’ of Things is going to go on for a long time, it has to be able to support itself.
  3. Make it possible for ‘D’ of Things to produce quality industry and market research I'm committed to do the research and produce the content, you can help me improve it and more accessible for users.
  4. Make ‘D’ of Things a vibrant community. To allow users, vendors and companies be part of a research that can benefit us all, you are not a lead or an opportunity, you are part of our community.
To do this we have created a model in which you can subscribe via Patreon or buy/subscribe through Gumroad.

How to Contribute Using Patreon?

The way Patreon works is simple, you can choose to donate a recurring amount per month starting with $3/month up so we can keep going, be part of the community and receive, depending on the donation, receive special discounts or full access to research reports and material. Of course, we have set a number of goals to keep rollin’ but the simple idea of having you as part of our “new DoT Community” is simply amazing.
